HP OfficeJet Pro 8720

When bought printer 3 years ago stocked up on ink cartridges, 952XL black and 952 3 color.  Yellow cartridge ran out.  Replaced it with EXACT same cartridge.  Printer acknowledged genuine HP, but then gave error message that couldn’t use it as older generation.  Had been working fine on exact same cartridge.  Tried 2 different yellow cartridge and got same error message.  What gives?

That is what I was wondering, if it was because of last update.  Is anyone else having same issue?  If it is the update, just buying more cartridges won’t fix it.  HP has exact same cartridges listed as proper ones for my printer, so problem must be with update.  Grrrr…..  I need my printer working!
