Hi @jglkjgh,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your printer is producing blank pages even after installing new ink cartridges, here are several steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

Check Cartridge Installation:

  • Ensure the cartridges are correctly installed in the printer.
  • Remove and reinsert the cartridges to make sure they are seated properly.

Remove Protective Tape:

  • Confirm that you've removed any protective tape or plastic cover from the new cartridges. This is a common issue that can prevent ink from flowing.

Run a Cleaning Cycle:

  • Use your printer’s built-in maintenance or cleaning feature to clean the printhead. This can often resolve issues with ink flow.
  • You can typically find this option in the printer's settings menu or through the printer software on your computer.

Check for Clogged Printheads:

  • Print a nozzle check pattern to see if all colors are printing correctly. If not, you may have clogged printheads.
  • Perform a deep cleaning or head cleaning procedure if the initial cleaning cycle doesn’t work.

Align the Printheads:

  • Aligning the printheads can sometimes resolve issues with print quality.
  • This option is usually available in the printer settings or maintenance menu.

Verify Ink Levels:

  • Even though the cartridges are new, check the ink levels through the printer's display or software. Sometimes cartridges can be defective or improperly filled.

Update Printer Firmware and Drivers:

  • Ensure that your printer’s firmware and drivers are up to date. Outdated firmware or drivers can sometimes cause printing issues.
  • Visit the HP website to download the latest firmware and driver updates.

Perform a Printer Reset:

  • Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for about 60 seconds, and then plug it back in and turn it on. This can sometimes reset the printer and resolve the issue.

Check for Software Issues:

  • Make sure you are using the correct print settings on your computer. Incorrect settings can sometimes result in blank pages being printed.

Inspect for Paper and Debris:

  • Open the printer and inspect for any paper jams or debris that might be obstructing the print mechanism.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
