All of a sudden printer is printing blank pages.  No warning ink was getting low.  Normal?

Hi @Ann4854,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

Check Ink Levels:

  • Even if there were no warnings, it's still a good idea to manually check the ink levels. Navigate to the printer's control panel or HP Smart app to view the ink status.
  • Consider replacing any cartridges that show low or empty levels.

Nozzle Check and Printhead Cleaning:

  • Perform a printhead cleaning using the printer's maintenance menu. This can help if the nozzles are clogged.
  • Run a printer diagnostic test or print quality report to see if any colors are missing or faded.

Correct Paper and Print Settings:

  • Ensure that the paper loaded in the tray matches the type selected in the printer settings.
  • Verify that the print job settings are correct and not set accidentally to print blank pages.

Replace Cartridges:

  • If the printer continues to print blank pages, even after checking the ink levels, try replacing the cartridges with new ones.

Firmware Update:

  • Check for any available firmware updates for your printer. Outdated firmware can sometimes lead to unexpected printing issues.

Reset the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer, unplug it for a few minutes, and then plug it back in and turn it on. This can sometimes resolve temporary glitches.

Ensure Proper Installation:

  • Double-check that all cartridges are properly installed and secured in their slots.

I hope this helps.
