Hi @Jmm29,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like there might be a few potential issues causing your printer to produce blank pages despite having full ink cartridges. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try.
- Check Ink Cartridges: Even though your cartridges have full supply, it's possible that they might be clogged or improperly installed. Remove the cartridges and inspect them for any signs of damage or blockages. Reinstall them securely into the printer.
- Printer Alignment: Sometimes, printers need to be aligned properly to ensure the ink is distributed correctly onto the paper. Your printer might have an alignment utility in the settings menu. Run the alignment process to see if it resolves the issue.
- Print Head Cleaning: Print heads can get clogged over time, especially if the printer hasn't been used for a while. Your printer should have a print head cleaning utility in the settings menu. Run the print head cleaning process to remove any dried ink or debris that might be blocking the ink flow.
- Printer Driver Update: Ensure that your printer driver is up to date. Sometimes, outdated drivers can cause printing issues. Visit the HP website to download and install the latest driver for your printer model.
- Paper Quality: Make sure you're using the correct type and size of paper for your printer. Using low-quality or incompatible paper can result in printing problems.
- Check for Error Messages: Sometimes, error messages can provide clues about what might be causing the issue. Check the printer display or any error messages that might pop up on your computer screen for more information.
- Test Print: Try printing a test page to see if the issue persists. Most printers have a test print option in the settings menu. If the test page prints fine, the issue might be with the specific document or file you're trying to print.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, it's possible that there might be a hardware problem with your printer.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
