Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If you can’t print in color from your HP ENVY Inspire 7955e All-in-One Printer on your Mac, try these steps.
Check Printer Settings:
- Go to System Preferences on your Mac.
- Open Printers & Scanners.
- Select your HP ENVY Inspire 7955e printer from the list.
- Click Options & Supplies, then Driver. Ensure the correct printer driver is installed.
Check Print Dialog Settings:
- When you go to print a document, in the print dialog box, look for an option like Color or Output. Make sure Color is selected, not Black & White.
Update Printer Driver:
- Visit the HP Support website, download the latest driver for your model, and install it.
Reset Printing System:
- Go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners.
- Right-click (or Control-click) in the list of printers and select Reset Printing System.
- After resetting, re-add your printer and try printing again.
Check Ink Levels:
- Ensure that the color ink cartridges are properly installed and have ink. Sometimes, low ink levels can affect color printing.
HP Smart App:
- Download the HP Smart app from the Mac App Store if you haven’t already. This app often provides additional printer settings and troubleshooting options.
