Hi @Markobla,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are facing an issue with your HP Officejet Pro 6830 is having a frustrating issue. Since it's printing blank pages, not scanning, and needing to be unplugged to turn off, there might be a more serious underlying problem. Here's a step-by-step guide to troubleshoot:

1. Check for Paper Jams or Obstructions:

  • Even though it printed fine yesterday, it’s possible something got obstructed, so inspect the paper feed and printer interior for any stuck paper or debris.

2. Printer Reset:

  • Unplug the printer, wait for 60 seconds, and plug it back in to reset the internal components.

3. Update or Reinstall Drivers:

  • Sometimes, drivers can become corrupted or outdated, which can cause printing issues.
  • Go to: HP Support website and search for your printer model to download the latest driver for your OS.
  • Uninstall and reinstall the printer software to ensure you have the latest version.

4. Check Printer Settings:

  • Ensure that the printer is set to the correct paper type and size.
  • If you're printing from a computer, check the print settings in the print dialog to make sure the settings are correct.

5. Print a Test Page:

  • If the printer still prints blank pages, try printing a test page directly from the printer (use the printer's menu if available). This will help identify if the issue is with the printhead, ink, or the computer's communication with the printer.

6. Check for Firmware Updates: Update the firmware on an HP printer

  • Sometimes firmware updates can resolve hidden issues. Check your printer's settings for any available updates.

7. Scanner Issue:

  • For scanning issues, you might need to ensure the printer is connected properly to your computer (check the cable or network if it's wireless). Try scanning from the printer itself to rule out any computer-related issues.

8. Perform a Hard Reset:

  • If the issue persists, try performing a hard reset by turning off the printer, unplugging it, and holding the power button for about 30 seconds before plugging it back in.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
