Hi @GMM67,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Printing blanks can be frustrating, but there are several potential reasons for this issue. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try.

  • Check Ink Levels: Ensure that both the color and black ink cartridges have sufficient ink. Sometimes, even if one cartridge is low on ink, it can affect the printing process.
  • Printer Nozzles: If the printer hasn't been used for a while, the ink nozzles might be clogged. Most printers have a utility to clean the printhead. You can usually find this option in the printer's settings or maintenance menu.
  • Print Head Alignment: Incorrect print head alignment can result in blank pages. Check your printer's manual for instructions on how to align the print head properly.
  • Driver Issues: Make sure you have the correct printer drivers installed on your computer. Sometimes, outdated or corrupted drivers can cause printing problems.
  • Paper Jam: Check for any paper jams in the printer. Even a small piece of paper stuck in the printer can disrupt the printing process.
  • Settings: Check the printer settings on your computer to ensure that you haven't accidentally selected a blank page option or set the printer to print in grayscale only.
  • Test Print: Print a test page from the printer itself. This can help determine if the issue is with the printer or the connection to your computer.
  • Reset Printer: Try resetting the printer to its default settings. Refer to the printer manual for instructions on how to do this.
  • Firmware Update: Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer. Sometimes, updating the firmware can resolve printing issues.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
