Hi @Mascara
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP OfficeJet Pro 9025 is skipping lines while printing, it’s usually related to printhead issues or software/driver problems. Since you've already tried realigning and cleaning the printer, let's go through some other troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue.
Step 1: Check for Low or Empty Ink Cartridges
One of the most common reasons for skipping lines is that one or more ink cartridges are low or empty.
- Check Ink Levels:
- Open the HP Smart app or go to Printers & Scanners in System Preferences (macOS) or Control Panel (Windows) and check the ink levels of your cartridges.
- If the ink levels are low, replace the ink cartridges with new ones.
Step 2: Run the Print Head Cleaning Process Again
While you've already tried cleaning, it might not have been sufficient. HP printers have a Printhead Cleaning feature that can be run multiple times if necessary.
Run Printhead Cleaning:
- Via Printer Control Panel:
- On your printer's screen, go to Setup > Tools > Clean Printhead.
- The printer will perform a cleaning cycle, which can take several minutes.
- Via HP Smart App:
- Open the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device.
- Select your printer and go to Printer Settings > Tools > Clean Printheads.
Repeat Cleaning: Sometimes it might take more than one cleaning cycle to fix the issue, so try running the cleaning process a few times.
Step 3: Check for Ink Smears or Blockages
After cleaning, check for any visible blockages or ink smears on the printhead.
- Inspect the Printhead:
- Power off the printer and carefully remove the ink cartridges.
- Gently inspect the printhead for any visible blockages or dried ink.
- If needed, clean the printhead with a lint-free cloth dampened with water or isopropyl alcohol (avoid using paper towels as they can leave fibers).
Step 4: Check Printer Driver and Settings
Issues with your printer driver or software settings might be causing inconsistent printing.
Update Printer Driver:
- Go to the HP support page for the OfficeJet Pro 9025 and ensure that your printer drivers are up to date.
- Install any available updates, and restart your computer.
Check Print Settings:
- Ensure you're printing with the correct settings (paper size, quality, etc.).
- In the Print Dialog Box, make sure the Print Quality is set to Best or Normal instead of Draft or Economy mode.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
