Hi @KAUSHAL14,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP LaserJet Tank 1020w printer is printing dotted lines on paper, it might be due to a few potential issues.

  • Dirty or Clogged Drum: The drum inside the printer may have toner particles or dirt causing streaks or lines. Try cleaning the drum according to the printer's manual or HP instructions.
  • Toner Cartridge Issue: The toner cartridge might be defective or improperly installed. Try removing and reinstalling the cartridge. If you have a spare cartridge, you might want to try it to see if it resolves the issue.
  • Paper Quality: Ensure that you are using the recommended paper type for your printer. Poor-quality or damaged paper can sometimes cause printing issues.
  • Printer Calibration: Perform a calibration or alignment test. This can usually be done through the printer's settings or control panel.
  • Firmware Update: Check if there is a firmware update available for your printer. HP often releases updates to fix known issues.
  • Printer Settings: Review your printer settings in the print dialog box on your computer to ensure there are no unusual settings that might affect print quality.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
