HP DeskJet 2652 All-in-One Printer

My printer is feeding the paper thru extremely slowly and even though it sounds like it is printing the paper cones out blank.  I replaced both ink cartridges and it didn't change anything.

Hi @DY81,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand your HP DeskJet 2652 is feeding paper slowly and printing blank pages even after replacing the ink cartridges, here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:

  • Check for Paper Jams: Even small bits of paper can cause issues. Open all access doors and look for any paper jams or obstructions.
  • Clean the Printhead: Sometimes, printheads can become clogged or dirty. Use the printer’s built-in cleaning function, usually found in the maintenance or tools menu of the printer settings.
  • Align the Printhead: Incorrect alignment can also cause printing issues. Check your printer’s manual for instructions on how to align the printhead.
  • Check Ink Cartridge Installation: Ensure that the ink cartridges are installed correctly and that the protective tape has been removed from the cartridges.
  • Update Printer Firmware: Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer model. Sometimes, updates can fix issues with printing. Update the firmware on an HP printer
  • Reset the Printer: Perform a factory reset on your printer. This can sometimes resolve issues caused by incorrect settings or other problems.
  • Inspect the Printer Carriage: Ensure that the printer carriage moves freely and isn’t obstructed by anything.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
