All my printouts come out with a green tinge rather than black and white. When they are printed documents from the scanner they come out more green.

Hi @ErikaVela13,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are having printouts with a green tinge instead of black and white can be frustrating. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially fix this issue with your HP ENVY 6055e printer:

  • Check Ink Cartridges: Ensure that your black ink cartridge has enough ink. Sometimes, low ink levels or improper installation can cause color mixing issues.
  • Print Quality Settings: Check the print quality settings in your printer driver settings on your computer. Make sure it's set to print in black and white or grayscale, depending on the options available.
  • Clean Print Heads: Use your printer's maintenance or cleaning utility to clean the print heads. This can help resolve any clogging or issues with ink distribution.
  • Alignment Check: Perform a print head alignment check. Misaligned print heads can cause colors to mix incorrectly.
  • Update Printer Driver: Ensure that your printer driver is up to date. Sometimes, outdated drivers can cause printing issues. Software and Drivers for HP ENVY 6055e All-in-One Printer
  • Color Settings: Verify the color settings in both your printer and printing software. Ensure that they are set to print in black and white when you intend to print in monochrome.
  • Test with Different Paper: Try printing on a different type of paper. Sometimes, the paper quality can affect how ink is absorbed and how colors appear.
  • Factory Reset (if needed): As a last resort, consider performing a factory reset on your printer. This will reset all settings to default, which can sometimes resolve persistent issues.
