Hi @Jeromeprinter, Welcome to HP Support Community. 👋

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It's definitely frustrating to see that "printer failure" 🖨️message glare back at you. It's like a digital shout, telling you things aren't right. Don't worry, we can explore this and try to coax your printer back to its happy, productive self.

Let's try these steps,

  1. Restart the Printer: Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for about a minute, and then plug it back in and turn it on.
  2. Check Ink Cartridges: Ensure that the ink cartridges are properly installed and not empty. Sometimes, reseating the cartridges can help.
  3. Clean the Printhead: If the printhead is clogged or dirty, it can cause issues. Refer to your printer's manual for instructions on how to clean the printhead.
  4. Update Printer Firmware: Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer model. Updating the firmware can sometimes resolve such errors.
  5. Run Printer Diagnostics: Many printers have built-in diagnostic tools. Run these tools to identify and possibly fix the issue.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day. 🙂
