Hi there,
I was wondering if it is true that the OfficeJet Pro 6970 - 902XL Ink - has been recalled? I was told this by an Office Depot Sales Associate in-store here in STL, MO. My boss has the OfficeJet Pro 6970 printer. We are going to be needing the 902XL colored ink cartridge replacements soon, but the sales associate told me that it will not be available for some time due to the manufacturer recall? Just making sure this is the correct information? If so, I would be very interested in knowing 1. When will the 902XL ink be available again? and 2. If it won't be available anytime soon, when can my boss expect it to be reconfigured and re-shelved? And 3. What alternative ink should we use, since the 902XL ink is currently unavailable? Please let me know your thoughts, I would be very much obliged! Thanks so much!

Welcome to the HP support community.
I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).
If you are unfamiliar with how the Community's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.
Thank you for visiting the HP Support Community.

So was there a recall or not? I have heard the same story from two Office Depots and a Sams club here in Houston
