I did all the alignment and head cleaning tests, it prints everything OK but when I order to print a text file the sheet goes straight through and doesn't print anything.

Hi @Rgsx,

Thank you for the response.

It sounds like there could be an issue with either the printer's software, the text file format, or a deeper hardware issue. Here's a list of things you can try to fix the problem:

Check Printer Connection: Ensure that the printer is properly connected to the computer or network (if you're using wireless). Try printing from another device if possible to rule out the device connection.

Reinstall Printer Drivers: Uninstall the printer drivers and then reinstall them. Sometimes, corrupted or outdated drivers can cause printing issues. Download the latest drivers from the HP website.

Print a Test Page from the Computer:

  • On Windows, go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers > right-click your printer > Printer Properties > Print Test Page.
  • This will help you determine if the issue is with the printer itself or the specific file you're trying to print.

Print from Another File: Try printing a different type of file (e.g., an image, or a different text file) to see if the issue is specific to the text file you're printing.

Check Ink Levels: Although the test prints come out fine, it’s good to double-check the ink levels using the HP software. Sometimes the printer software can show false readings.

Check the Print Queue: Ensure that there are no stuck jobs in the print queue. If there are, cancel them and try printing again.

Check Paper Settings: Ensure that the correct paper size and type are selected in the print settings.

Printer Reset: Perform a factory reset on the printer to restore default settings. This can be done by following the instructions in the printer's manual or settings menu.

Try Different Software: Sometimes, the issue could be related to the software you are printing from. Try printing from a different application or exporting the file as a PDF and printing that.

Let me know if any of these steps help, or if you need further assistance!
