HP OfficeJet Pro 8210 Printer

Hello, I need to change the cartridge region for 8210 and 6230 printers.  

 

These model printers are set to US region but are shipped and used in different regions around the globe.  To ease the  trouble and allowing local cartridges to be used, I would like to change the region to where the printers are located.  Thank you for your assistance.

I notified the moderator of the problem.

Changing the region code can be difficult as described here.

When an agent contacts you ensure that the agent is familiar with the OS you are using. If the agent is in a different time zone try to get one in your time zone. If that is not possible you may need to choose the best time to make the contact.

You may need WhatsApp to work through the region reset procedure. You will need all your old cartridges and the new ones.

I understand you moved and the printer is not accepting the new region cartridges.

 

We need to perform a regional reset on the printer to resolve this issue. 

 

The reset instructions are specific to your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device. 

 

I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instructions to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.

I have sent multiple responses to you that I have completed the procedure which gave me a "Region Reset Successful" but the cartridges are still displaying incompatible.  I don't know if you are seeing my responses.  Please advise.....

if your 8210 was made on or after Dec 1, 2016 then you must use genuine HP cartridges

 

To check if an HP ink cartridge is genuine, look for a security label on the cartridge, scan the QR code on the label with your phone, and then go to HP's website hp.com/go/ok to verify the serial number on the label; if the label appears tampered or the serial number doesn't validate, the cartridge is likely not genuine and the region change will not occur.
