HP OfficeJet Pro 9010 All-in-One Printer

Hello,

I have an HP OfficeJet Pro 9010 series with ink cartridge 964 that i bought in Latin America (printer and cartridge). However, i moved to Switzerland, and bought new cartridge 963. The cartridge 963 are not compatible and it seems that in order to use them i need to do a region change for the printer. Can you please assist on how to do that?

Hi @S_Trab,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to assist you.

I see that you are looking for help with a regional reset on your Printer.

To perform a printer region reset you need to meet the following conditions:

Which country did you move from and to?

Do you have the ink cartridges for both regions?

Do you have a printer USB cable or is it connected wirelessly?

Do you have the printer full feature software or the HP smart app and drivers installed on your PC?

If you meet the above conditions then let me know the following details:

1) The operating system of your PC, is it Windows or Mac?

2) Confirm the printer model.

Note: Do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc.

Take care and have a great day ahead!

Hi Irwin,

Thank you for reply, and here below my comments.

From Chile to Switzerland.

Yes, I do have. Although the ones from Chile are getting empty now.

I have it connected wireless.

I have a Mac and everything seems alright.

The operating system is a Mac and the printer model is a HP Office jet Pro 3010

Thank you.

If your computer is connected to the printer with a USB or wireless connection, you can open the Set New Regions window with HP Smart by following these steps.

1) Open the HP Smart app.

2) On the Home screen, click gear icon.

3) Click About, press and hold Ctrl + Shift, and then right-click on the HP Smart logo.

The region reset screen opens.

4) Take a screenshot of the screen and send it to me in a private message.

Hi, can you someone please assist with getting my OfficeJet Pro 9010 region changed to US to accept 962 cartridges. I have recently relocated from Australia where 965 cartridges were accepted. Thank you.

Hi @S_Trab,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you move to a different country we need to perform a regional reset in order to make the printer work in the new region. I will surely help you with the Regional reset.

1. The printer should be connected using a printer USB cable to the computer.

2. You need to have the printer full feature software installed on your computer.

3. You need to have all the cartridges either from the region/country from where the printer was purchased originally or the new region/country to which you want to reset it to.

4. Make sure HP Smart App is installed too.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
