Hi @Printer7740prob,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to assist you.

I see that you are looking for help with a regional reset on your Printer.

To perform a printer region reset you need to meet the following conditions:

Which country did you move from and to?

Do you have the ink cartridges for both regions?

Do you have a printer USB cable or is it connected wirelessly?

Do you have the printer full feature software or the HP smart app and drivers installed on your PC?

If you meet the above conditions then let me know the following details:

1) The operating system of your PC, is it Windows or Mac?

2) Confirm the printer model.

Note: Do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc.

Take care and have a great day ahead!

Hello Irwin6,

Thank you for your quick response. I purchased this printer online and it came with 954 ink cartridges. I cannot find those anywhere and it said the 952 ink cartridges are incompatible. What I've seen is that I need a region reset to be able to use the 952 ink. I do have both the old 954 in and the new 952 ink. The printer is connected through usb and I have the HP Smart app and all drivers installed. My OS is Windows 10 22H2 x64 and the printer model is HP Officejet Pro 7740 Wide Format All-In-One printer.

Hi @Printer7740prob,

Thank you for sharing the above information.

Regional reset can be done only when you move from one country to another.

Please find the supported ink for your printer in the country you are located in and should work if the printer also was purchased in the same country without any regional reset.

Please mark this post as “Accepted Solution” if the issue is resolved and if you feel this reply was helpful click “Yes”.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a great day ahead!

The region that the printer is set to is Mexico and the 954 ink carts. The region I need is United States and the 952 ink. I have both ink carts for the printer.

1) Open the HP Smart app.

2) On the Home screen, click gear icon.

3) Click About, press and hold Ctrl + Shift, and then right-click on the HP Smart logo.
