Rejection of Ink Cartridges

HP Recommended
ENVY 7640 a-All-in-Obe
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Second set of new ink cartridges both Black & Color with message to "take out and re-insert...not communicating with printer". Tried many times, unplugged, etc. Will accept old ink cartridges and print a trace of color but nothing left in black.  What could be the problem.  Purchased new ink from different stores....same result.

This could be an issue with the ink system or the printer ink cartridges.


If you have already performed the steps from the document HP Printer Does not Print and Error Indicates Faulty Ink Cartridge and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.


Please reach out to HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.
