We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

 

Try these steps:

Check Printer Status:

  • Ensure the printer is powered on and connected to your iMac.
  • Check the printer’s display for any error messages or warnings.

Verify Cartridge Installation:

  • Open the ink cartridge access door.
  • Make sure the new ink cartridges are firmly installed in their respective slots.
  • Close the ink cartridge access door properly.

Print Alignment Initiation:

  • On your printer’s control panel, navigate to Settings > Toolbox > Align Printhead to manually start the alignment process.

Use HP Smart App:

  • Ensure you have the HP Smart App installed on your iMac.
  • Open the HP Smart App and select your HP Envy 6000 printer.
  • Go to Print Quality Tools and select Align Printhead.

Update Printer Firmware:

Kindly refer to this link to update your printer firmware.

 

Check for Software Updates on macOS:

  • On your iMac, go to System Preferences > Software Update and ensure macOS is up to date.
  • Additionally, update the HP printer software if necessary.

Reset the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug the power cord.
  • Wait for about 60 seconds.
  • Plug the power cord back in and turn on the printer.
  • Try printing the alignment page again.

Reinstall Printer Drivers:

  • Remove the HP Envy 6000 printer from your iMac.
  • Go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners, select the printer, and click the - button to remove it.
  • Re-add the printer by clicking the + button and following the prompts to reinstall the drivers.
