HP Pro 8600 All in One Printer

Magenta cartridge ran out. Replaced with HP cartridge and now won't print.  Error message "There is a problem with the printer or ink system"

We don't have instant ink. 

 

The printer won't print at all, even in black ink only.

 

The error message is "There is a problem with printer or ink system"

I see that you are facing an issue with your Printer.

 

Kindly refer to the steps on this link and let me know if that fixes the issue.

Hi Irwin, instructions didn't work. Also, we are unable to update firmware because it's been over 3 years.

We can only replace printerhead through a third-party company and it's too expensive.

Thanks for your help but it's time for a new all-in-one printer.
