Hi @ChronoX77, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The HP Envy 6532e All-in-One Printer requires setup cartridges for the initial printer setup.
However, you can try the following steps:

Reset the Printer

  1. Turn off the printer and unplug it from power.
  2. Wait for 5-10 minutes.
  3. Plug the printer back in and turn it on.
  4. Check if it allows standard cartridges.

Perform a Semi-Full Reset

This reset can sometimes remove the setup requirement:

  1. Turn off the printer.
  2. Hold “Back” (↩) and “Cancel” (X) buttons together.
  3. While holding them, press the Power button.
  4. Release all buttons once the printer turns on.
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions and check if the standard cartridges work.

Try Standard Cartridges Again

If the printer is past the setup phase (even if interrupted), you can try inserting regular HP ink cartridges. Make sure they are:

  • Genuine HP cartridges.
  • Compatible with the HP Envy 6532e.

Disable HP+ (If Possible)

Some HP+ printers lock to HP Instant Ink and require setup cartridges. If the printer was enrolled in HP+, this restriction cannot be bypassed.

If none of these work, your only option is to get setup cartridges (which usually come with the printer).

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
