Welcome to the HP Community.

I might not understand what you are doing.

There might be a language barrier OR I might just be old and brain dead.

Please forgive any "over simplification" or incorrect assumptions.

Do you mean that you used a Paint software or that you actually painted an image on a canvas?

Did you then "Scan" the original image?

Or

Perhaps you scanned something into your computer and saved the image.

Opened the image in Paint (or other software program) and edited the image.

Now, you want to print your finished project.

So...

You have something you want to print.

That "something" is printing too small - that is, the print does not match the original in size and / or shape.

If you print your file / content the printed image on the paper is "smaller" than the original,

It might mean that the size of image (thing you are printing) is larger than the paper you are using,

that is, the "thing" does not fit on the paper at 100% of its original size.

What?

Image (thing to be printed) is a certain size at 100% (full size for that image).

Image is a certain shape (width and length in pixels).

Paper is the shape and size of the paper.

If the image does not fit on the paper size / paper shape,

then

To put the whole image on the paper,

That Image will have to be "fitted" to the paper.

This "fitting" process can force the image printed on the paper to be smaller than the image you see on your computer screen.

One solution - actually more of a workaround:

NOTE:  The full driver printer software must be installed

Create a document that contains the image (for example in Word)

Export the document to PDF format

Print the PDF file in as a Poster in Adobe Reader DC

Example

PDF_Document_Poster_3PDF_Document_Poster_3

Example 2

Adobe_Reader_Poster_Print_1Adobe_Reader_Poster_Print_1

Adobe Reader DC – Install Whether You Use It or Not

If you have not done so,

Reinstall / Update your PDF Reader (Adobe Reader DC /Optional  Foxit Reader)

HINT:  Watch out for and UNCHECK unwanted extra software

NOTE:  Adobe Reader DC software can be installed even if you do not normally open / view / print PDF files directly from the Adobe Reader DC software.
