I signed a letter and copied the letter when ink was not dry. Now I have a streak on my pages when copying.

Hi @PFL1963

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

HP has determined that 99% of all lines and streaks on copies made by feeding the original documents through the ADF are caused by debris on the ADF glass. Debris can include dust, paper or toner dust, residue from sticky note adhesive, correction fluid or tape, ink, fingerprints, and more.

Even the tiniest of specks can cause the light reflected off the original to be distorted, resulting in a line, streak, or smudge on copies or scans made from the ADF.

The below document link has detailed steps on how to resolve these issue with the printer.

Note: The header on the document says it is for HP LaserJet Pro MFP, however the steps are same for your printer as well.

If this solution hit the spot, please come back and click "Accepted Solution" to help others find the answer. And if you'd like to say thanks, select "Yes" on the bottom left of the public post, as that would make our day!

Take care, and have an amazing day!

Regards,

Hawks_Eye
