HP ENVY 5660 e-All-in-One Printer

I tried inserting a new 62 black cartridge into my printersHP 5660 and the error message told me to remove and reinsert in printer.   I did this multiple times and same error message.   I have inserted at least 25 of these cartridges into these printers.  I then tried it in my other HP printer 7645 and the same error message showed.  Then I shut off both printers and restarted both and cleaned the cartridge and ink area on printer.   Reinserted it and the same error message came on when I did on both printers.   I then took another  new 62 ink cartridge and it went in with no problems in both printers.  So the ink cartridge is defective and I want it replaced as it is brand new and not cheap!  How do I do this as HP support has no section for that and the virtual help doesn't understand the problem and tells me to get a new ink cartridge.
