The cyan color is failing, even with a new cartridge! The rest of colors are OK. I have tried several cyan cartridges, head cleaning of all levels, resetting the equipment, with no results. Test pages are printed OK. But cyan fails with regular color printing. Please help!

HI @Glutenfree46469,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP printer is consistently failing to print cyan even with new cartridges and after cleaning, here are some additional steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:
Step 1: Print Quality Diagnostic Report
- Run a Print Quality Diagnostic: Go to your printer settings and print a diagnostic page. This can help identify any issues with the printhead.
- Check the Results: Look specifically at the cyan section. If it's missing or streaky, it points to a printhead issue.
Step 2: Clean the Printhead
- Access Printer Settings: Go to the printer settings on your computer or through the printer's control panel.
- Select Maintenance Options: Choose to clean the printhead. You may need to run this multiple times to clear clogs.
Step 3: Check the Ink Flow
- Inspect the Printhead: Remove the printhead (if removable) and look for any dried ink or debris in the cyan nozzle.
- Use a Soft Cloth: Gently clean the nozzle with a lint-free cloth slightly moistened with distilled water.
Step 4: Check Printer Firmware
- Update Firmware: Go to the HP support website, search for your printer model, and see if there are any firmware updates available. Sometimes updates can resolve printing issues.
Step 5: Perform a Printhead Alignment
- Access Printer Settings: Go to the maintenance section.
- Run Alignment: This can help ensure that the printhead is properly aligned and may resolve color issues.
Step 6: Test with Different Document Types
- Sometimes specific applications may not handle colors correctly. Try printing from different applications (like Word, PDF viewers, etc.) to see if the issue persists.
Step 7: Use HP Smart App
- If you haven’t already, download the HP Smart app. It can provide additional diagnostic tools and cleaning options.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
