I've tried all of the steps to resolve this issue: powering on/off, disconnecting power cord, cleaning printer connections and ink cartridges with dampened isopropyl alcohol cloth, restored printer to factory defaults, reconnected printer to wifi, enabled firmware updates, clean print heads...etc. It appears the cartridge chips are defective. I have two new replacement cartridges and they wont communicate. The cartridges are instant ink. I have two old instant ink cartridges that are recognized but out of ink. Seems like an easy fix right? Replace with newer* cartridges. I pay a monthly subscription for instant ink. Please help.

Make sure the printer is online.
Also, it might help to restart the PC and the printer to ensure that the PC gets the most recent status report.
