Hello!
I just installed the multi-color cartridge in my HP DESKJET INK ADVANTAGE 2775 All-in-One printer.
The black, cyan, and yellow colors work perfectly; however, the magenta color is missing. That is, there is no presence of magenta at all.
I have performed the level 1 and level 2 cleanings MANY times (over 14) with no success.
The HP SMART says everything is fine.
I have unplugged and re-plugged the cartridge twice with no success.
Please help!

Hi @Turritopsis,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
When the magenta color is missing on your HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 2775 even after multiple cleanings, here are a few additional steps to try.
- Check Cartridge Venting: Sometimes, the cartridge's vent can be blocked, which can cause color issues. Remove the cartridge and look for the small plastic pull tab or vent. Ensure it is clear and unblocked. You can gently wipe it with a lint-free cloth to remove any debris.
- Inspect Ink Levels: Although HP Smart indicates everything is fine, it may not accurately reflect the actual ink levels. Check the ink level indicator on the printer’s control panel or through HP Smart to confirm that there is enough magenta ink.
- Run a Diagnostic Print: Access the printer's control panel or HP Smart app to print a diagnostic page or test pattern. This may reveal specific issues with the magenta ink flow or alignment that might not be visible with regular printouts.
- Perform a Hard Reset: Unplug the printer while it's powered on, wait about 60 seconds, then plug it back in. After it restarts, check if the magenta ink appears.
- Try a Different Cartridge: If the above steps don’t help, the cartridge itself may be defective. If possible, try using a new or different magenta or tri-color cartridge to see if this resolves the issue.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
