No - HP does not authorize any sale of Instant Ink Cartridges.
I've sent your comments to our Moderator team.
They might want to follow up with you.
If there is a response, look for a message here before the agent uses other methods to contact you.
A genuine HP ink cartridge can be Instant Ink "ready", meaning it is compatible with first time Instant Ink subscription setup and use.
If you purchased a cartridge and there is writing on the cartridge identifying the cartridge an Instant Ink cartridge, such cartridges do not work outside of an active and authorized Instant Ink subscription.
Instant Ink / Subscription cartridges remain the property of HP and are normally returned to HP after the subscription is terminated (cancelled).
There is no workaround - the sale of Instant Ink cartridges is unauthorized.
It happens -- Either by design or by accident, merchants sell the Subscription only cartridges.
HP sells HP genuine ink at the HP Store.

Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Unfortunately, HP Instant Ink cartridges are designed to work only with HP's Instant Ink subscription service. They are programmed to communicate with HP's system to verify the subscription status, and they won't function if you're not enrolled in the service.
