If you're having trouble connecting your HP OfficeJet Pro 8618 printer to HP Instant Ink or linking it via mobile, there are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue.
- Check Printer Compatibility: Make sure that your HP OfficeJet Pro 8618 is compatible with HP Instant Ink. Not all HP printers are compatible, so it's essential to verify this.
- Verify Internet Connection: Ensure that your printer is connected to the internet. You can do this by checking if it's connected to your Wi-Fi network. If not, go to your printer's settings menu and set up the Wi-Fi connection.
- Printer Firmware Update: Check if there's a firmware update available for your printer. Sometimes, updating the printer's firmware can resolve connectivity issues.
- HP Smart App: To link your printer to HP Instant Ink via mobile, you should use the HP Smart app. Install the HP Smart app on your mobile device, and follow the on-screen instructions to set up your printer and link it to HP Instant Ink.
- Check Mobile Device Compatibility: Ensure that your mobile device (phone or tablet) is compatible with the HP Smart app. Make sure you have the latest version of the app installed on your mobile device.
