Dear All, I had move to Germany with my HP Deskjet 4648 Ink Advantage printer and I am not able to find the recommended HP 468 cartridges here. 

 

The hp store in Germany (https://store.hp.com/GermanyStore) does not have it and other online sellers showed hp 650 to be compatible with my printer.   I had purchased one hp 650 cartridge from Amazon and my printer would not accept it with an  "incompatible" message. 

 

The printer is still in a great condition and I do not toss it out. If possible, I want to keep using it.  

 

Any advice on how to resolve this?

Yes, I had purchased the printer when i was living in China.  I relocated to Germany with my printer.

We'll have to do a region reset.

 

To do a printer region reset you need to meet the following conditions:

 

1. The printer should be connected using a printer USB cable to the computer.

2. You need to have the printer full feature software installed on your computer. 

3. You need to have all the cartridges either from the region from where the printer was purchased originally or the new region to which you want to reset it to.

I still have original cartridges hp 678 that was assigned to the printer for use in China/Asia.  

 

What is the compatible cartridge I should get in German for the model hp 4648?

 

And how do I do a regional reset?
