Hello, we cancelled the instant ink and then it sat for a while.  We realized that the cartridges were. I good anymore so we went and bought new at Best Buy.  Now it still

wont recognize the new cartridges 

 

please help resolve this issue,

If your printer does not recognize new cartridges after cancelling the Instant Ink service, there are a few steps you can take to resolve the issue.

 

Remove Instant Ink Cartridges:

  • Ensure that all Instant Ink cartridges are removed from the printer. Instant Ink cartridges can only be used in enrolled printers.

Purchase Original HP Cartridges:

  • Make sure you are using genuine HP cartridges purchased directly from a retailer. Instant Ink cartridges will not work once the service is cancelled.

Restart the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source. Wait about 30 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on. This can clear any errors.

Check Cartridge Compatibility:

  • Ensure that the cartridges you purchased are compatible with your specific printer model. Check the printer manual or HP website for compatibility information.

Update Printer Firmware:

  • Sometimes, updating the firmware can resolve compatibility and recognition issues. Follow these steps:
    • Go to the HP Support page and enter your printer model.
    • Download and install any available firmware updates.

Reset Printer to Factory Defaults:

  • Resetting the printer to factory defaults can resolve various issues. Follow these steps:
    • Open the HP Smart app or the printer Embedded Web Server (EWS).
    • Navigate to the settings or system tab and select "Restore Factory Defaults".
    • Confirm the reset and wait for the printer to restart.
