Use setup cartridges message

HP Recommended
OfficeJet Pro 9020
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

Hello,

I am helping someone with a HP OfficeJet 9020 that is having an issue installing HP ink cartridges.  There is a "use setup cartridges" message but the setup cartridges are nowhere to be found.

Similar posts recommend doing an OOBE reset on the printer to bypass the error but I can not find the instructions for this model.

Thank you,

Kelly

@kjjames

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I understand you are receiving a "use setup cartridges" error.

We would have to perform an OOBE reset on the printer to bypass the error

  • The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may corrupt the device.
