My friend moved to Honduras and has 962 cartridges for his HP office jet pro 9020. The printer is saying they are incompatible and show 964 as the correct cartridge. Can I change the region so the 962 can be used?

To resolve the incompatibility issue of HP 962 cartridges for the HP OfficeJet Pro 9020 printer in Honduras, your friend can contact HP Customer Support for a regionalization reset. This process will change the printer's region to match the cartridges they have.

Here are the steps to get support from HP:

  1. Contact HP Customer Support: Your friend should reach out to HP Customer Support to schedule the regionalization reset. If they are in Asia Pacific, they will be directed to a local service center in their area.

  2. Confirm Warranty Status: They can check their warranty status by visiting the HP Product Warranty Check website. Repair fees might apply for out-of-warranty products.

This solution should help them use their HP 962 ink cartridges without the incompatibility error.

How do I reach out to support?  I've spent over an hour trying to figure out how to contact support on the phone, and just get lost in the automated system.  I tried chat, no deal either. This printer is out of warranty but I'm will to pay to get this switched from the region it's in to the US region, so that they can use the US ink cartridges they have.  I am using a Mac OS Sequoia 15.5.
