image1 (3).jpegimage0 (7).jpegThis printer has been a workhorse and has been having this same printing issue for a while.  It seems to be only with the black cartridge, which is always replaced with an HP cartridge.  I'll include pictures as well which will do the best job of explaining what is going on.  On the right third of the page, there is an always present white streak that goes down the entire height of the page.  To the right of the streak, the color/quality is perfect, but, to the left, the color fades in areas of greyscale.  The text looks good to about the first quarter of the page, where everything fades out over the entire height of the page.  I have run every cleaning program I can find on the printer, cleaned everything I know to clean and cannot figure out what the problem is.  The pictures below are for pages printed after I changed the black cartridge (again).  Does anybody have any suggestions?

Thank you in advance, for your help!image2 (1).jpegimage1 (3).jpegimage0 (7).jpeg

Can you reupload the pictures, they can be seen, and they are very helpful.

According to what I can see, the pictures have been reuploaded.

I can see 2 out of 5 pictures. It looks like you have dirty optics of black laser.

If you remove the black toner cartridge for easier access under is a laser glass that is probably contaminated with toner. The laser glass is covered with a shutter. You can use compressed air and with straw and air try to clean it.

if you post a picture of the printer's interior bottom part without toner cartridges might point you to where to clean it.

Thank you for your quick response.  What you're saying does make sense.  I'll get a picture of the inside of the empty compartment where the black cartridge sits as soon as I can.

Thanks again!

I cleaned out the bottom of the cartridge slot and the print looks much better! There is still a light area that can be seen in the Job Name, Terms & Description boxes. I ran the cleaning cycle and am wondering if there's something else I should do.

Don't know why but I can't see your image.

I found a photo similar to your printer model ( the red circles and orange dots are for different issues) you see on the bottom that scissor-shaped metal part circled in white, ( you have 4 for each toner)  Those are laser shutters and the protect laser glass from toner buildup you will need to clean underneath the black, use compressed air and try to clean, that is the easiest and fastest way. Do not inhale while you cleaning.

It can also be something in the paper path,

I would print PQ test pages first to check this.

Go to Supply Tools > Troubleshooting > Print Quality Test Pages, do you have issues on all colors or only black? Do you see the same white line appear?

Before cleaning the shutter for black toner,
