Printer black ink not visible, although status shows full. Keep getting a printhead problem event code 62.80.13. Is this fixable by me?

Hi @JKI2024
Welcome to the HP support community.
I understand you're experiencing an issue with your HP device, and I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. I'm here to help you today.
Here are some steps you can try to fix the black ink not printing and the error code:
Check Ink Levels:
- Even if the status shows full, it’s good to verify that the black ink cartridge is properly installed. Remove it and reinsert it to ensure a good connection.
Clean the Printhead:
- The printhead may need cleaning. You can use the printer’s built-in cleaning feature:
- Go to Settings > Printer Maintenance > Clean Printhead.
- You can also clean the printhead manually:
- Remove the printhead from the printer (follow instructions in the user manual).
- Soak a lint-free cloth in warm water and gently clean the contacts on the printhead.
Run Printhead Alignment:
- After cleaning, run the printhead alignment:
- Go to Settings > Printer Maintenance > Align Printhead.
Perform a Hard Reset:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for about 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.
Check for Firmware Updates:
- Ensure your printer firmware is up to date. You can check for updates through the HP Smart app or on the HP website.
Check for Obstructions:
- Inspect the printer for any foreign objects or paper bits that might be obstructing the printhead or ink flow.
I hope this helps! Keep me posted.
