I have a HP smart tank 6001. It has been printing with thick white lines going across all my prints so I did a manual print head cleaning, And now my colors are out of wack. The print diagnostics are printing the blue really pale, the yellow a dark mustard color and Magenta is completely absent. I've tried multiple deep cleans and i tried to re aligning the printer and nothings working to get the colors back to normal. All my ink levels are completely full and I don't see any airbubbles in my ink lines. Any help would be greatly appreciated 😭🙏

Hi @Ratssica,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

Check Cartridge Installation: Ensure that all ink cartridges are properly installed. Sometimes an improperly seated cartridge might cause printing issues.

Print Head Alignment: While you mentioned attempting this before, let's ensure that it was done correctly. Follow the printer's manual for the correct procedure. Misalignment can lead to color inaccuracies.

Clean Printheads: Use the printer's built-in cleaning utility rather than manual cleaning. Over-cleaning manually might cause the printhead to get damaged or misaligned further. Follow any on-screen prompts or consult the user guide.

Check Ink Levels: Though you mentioned the ink levels are adequate, verify if the ink is flowing correctly. Sometimes dried ink might block printhead nozzles.

Update or Reinstall Printer Drivers: Ensure that you are using the latest drivers for your printer model. Outdated drivers can sometimes cause printing issues.

Perform a Test Print: Run a test page to see which colors are still visibly problematic. This can sometimes provide clues as to which hardware component might be failing.

Inspect for Physical Damage: Examine the printer for any physical damage to the printhead or cartridges.

I hope this helps.
