I am using an HP Pavilion laptop linked to an HP Envy 4500 printer and am using HP Instant Ink. Documents created on the laptop with blue coloured characters are being printed as pink. How can I correct this please?

Hi @MIkeT1947,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
There could be several reasons why your HP Envy 4500 printer is printing blue characters as pink. Here are a few possible explanations.
- Ink Cartridge Issues: Check the ink cartridges in your printer. It's possible that the cyan (blue) ink cartridge is low on ink or malfunctioning. Try replacing the cyan ink cartridge with a new one to see if it resolves the issue.
- Print Settings: Check the print settings on your computer or the printer itself. Ensure that the color settings are correctly configured. It's possible that the color profile or settings are set incorrectly, resulting in the blue color appearing pink when printed.
- Printer Calibration: Sometimes, printers require calibration to ensure accurate color representation. Check the printer's manual for instructions on how to calibrate the printer. This process will help align the printhead and improve color accuracy.
- Driver or Firmware Issues: Make sure that you have the latest printer driver and firmware installed for your HP Envy 4500. Outdated or incompatible drivers can cause printing issues. Visit the HP website to download and install the latest drivers and firmware for your printer model.
- Hardware Fault: If none of the above solutions work, it's possible that there may be a hardware fault with the printer.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
