Hi @Eeeeeooo,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand the cartridges in your HP Deskjet F2280 All-in-One Printer may have been inserted incorrectly and are now stuck. Here are the steps you can follow to safely remove them:
Steps to Remove Stuck Cartridges from Your HP Deskjet F2280:
Turn Off the Printer:
- First, turn off your printer and unplug it from the power source to avoid any electrical issues.
Open the Printer Cover:
- Lift the scanner lid to access the cartridge area. The cartridges should move to the center when the lid is open. If they don’t, gently push the cartridge carriage to the center of the printer.
Check the Cartridge Lock:
- Ensure that the cartridge carriage latch (the plastic lever that holds the cartridges in place) is in the unlocked position. The latch should be raised.
Gently Remove the Cartridges:
- Carefully try to wiggle the cartridges out of their slots. If they are stuck, do not force them out. Instead, apply gentle pressure to each side of the cartridge to see if it loosens.
Use a Small Tool if Necessary:
- If the cartridges are still stuck, you can use a small flat tool (like a butter knife or a flathead screwdriver) to gently pry them loose. Be careful not to damage the printer or cartridges.
Reinstall the Cartridges:
- Once the cartridges are removed, check them for any damage or debris. Reinstall them correctly:
- Black Cartridge: Insert into the right slot.
- Tri-color Cartridge: Insert into the left slot.
- Push each cartridge forward until it clicks into place, then lower the latch.
Plug in and Test the Printer:
- Close the scanner lid, plug the printer back in, and turn it on. Run a test print to ensure everything is working properly.
- Refer to the User Manual: If you're unsure about any steps or the layout of your printer, refer to the HP Deskjet F2280 user manual for more detailed guidance.

I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
