Product: HP Officejet Pro 8600 e-All-in-One Printer - N911a
Operating System: macOS 11.0 Big Sur

Yellow ink cartridge has leaked inside my printer. Removed the cartridge carrier. Is it safe to use an electronic spray to clean the carrier. Printer is about 10 years old and was working fine until the cartridge leaked.  Can it be cleaned or is it time for a new printer? Officejet Pro 8600

It depends on the leak and how fast you remove/clean it. The ink is corrosive to metal parts and can cause terminal damage.

I don't know how long the ink sat in there. Didn't notice it until I printed teh envelope for my rent. There was quite a lot on ink showing in the carrier and on parts of the track.
