Printer menue shows: cartridge is not communicating well....I cleaned all contacts on the cartridge as well as  in the printer. No sucsess. Any idea what to do now. ...?

If your HP ENVY Photo 7134 All-in-One Printer is experiencing cartridge communication problems, you can try the following steps to resolve the issue:

Check Cartridge Installation:

  • Open the printer’s cartridge access door and ensure that the cartridges are properly seated in their respective slots.

Clean Cartridge Contacts:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug the power cord.
  • Open the cartridge access door.
  • Remove the problem cartridge and gently wipe the copper-colored contacts with a lint-free cloth moistened with distilled water or an isopropyl alcohol solution.
  • Allow the contacts to dry completely before reinstalling the cartridge.

Reset the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug the power cord from the printer.
  • Wait for 60 seconds.
  • Reconnect the power cord and turn the printer back on.

Check for Firmware Updates:

  • Ensure the printer firmware is up to date, as updates may resolve communication issues.

Replace the Cartridge:

  • If the problem persists, consider replacing the cartridge with a new one. Ensure that you are using genuine HP cartridges compatible with the HP ENVY Photo 7134 model.
