My brand-new out-of-the-box printer can't complete set-up because of a 'Cartridge Problem' issue with the cartridges that came in the box, and also the two extra HP cartridges that I ordered. In answer to all the obvious questions:
yes, I have removed the plastic strips
yes, the cartridges are firmly clicked into the printer
no, I haven't touched the contacts
no, the contacts don't - or shouldn't! - need cleaning as the whole thing is brand-new/unused
No tech sup is available from the supplier, Currys/PCW. Their phone line is closed by Covid and the only 'help' they have offered is to return the product and get a refund.
I wrote to HP support using their online form but haven't had a reply.
I'm beyond frustrated and would be extremely grateful for any help that doesn't just say 'try taking the cartridges out and putting them back in'//'try turning the printer on&off' and all the standard answers, because - obviously - I have done all of those a million times by now.
