Hi @Angelperera,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

Verify Cartridge Compatibility:

  • Ensure that you are using genuine HP cartridges designed for your specific printer model. Using incorrect or counterfeit cartridges can lead to errors.

Check Cartridge Installation:

  • Open the cartridge access door and ensure that the cartridges are properly installed. They should click into place securely.
  • If you have recently replaced the cartridge, remove it and then reseat it to ensure a proper connection.

Check for Obstructions:

  • Ensure there are no obstructions in the cartridge slot that might be preventing a proper connection.
  • Inspect the cartridge connector for any bent or damaged pins.

Reset the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait for at least 60 seconds before plugging it back in and turning it on. This can help reset the printer’s internal memory.

Clean Cartridge Contacts:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it.
  • Remove the ink cartridges.
  • Use a lint-free cloth lightly moistened with distilled water to clean the copper-colored contacts on the cartridges and the corresponding contacts inside the printer.
  • Let the contacts dry completely before reinserting the cartridges.

Update Printer Firmware:

  • Ensure your printer’s firmware is up-to-date. Check the HP website for any available firmware updates for your printer model.

I hope this helps.
