Hi @Dornie2_2,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be happy to help you!

To turn off the cartridge protection feature on your HP OfficeJet Pro 7730 printer, you can follow these steps:

Access the Printer's Embedded Web Server (EWS):

  • Ensure your printer and computer are connected to the same network.
  • Open a web browser (like Chrome, Firefox, or Edge) on your computer.

Enter the Printer's IP Address:

  • Type the printer's IP address into the browser's address bar and press Enter. You can find the printer's IP address by printing a network configuration page from the printer's control panel or settings menu.

Navigate to the Cartridge Protection Setting:

  • Once you enter the printer's IP address in the browser, the printer's Embedded Web Server (EWS) page should load.
  • Look for a tab or section related to cartridge settings or preferences. This might be under a heading like "Settings," "Tools," or "Preferences."
  • Find and select the option for "Cartridge Protection" or a similar name.

Disable Cartridge Protection:

  • In the Cartridge Protection settings, you should see an option to disable or turn off this feature.
  • Select the option to disable cartridge protection.
  • Save or apply the changes if prompted.

Restart the Printer:

  • After making changes, it's a good practice to restart your printer to ensure the settings are applied correctly.

Verify Settings:

  • Print a status report or check the printer's control panel to verify that cartridge protection is now disabled.

By following these steps, you should be able to disable cartridge protection on your HP OfficeJet Pro 7730 printer through its Embedded Web Server (EWS). If you encounter any specific terms or options that are different, refer to your printer's user manual or contact phone support.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
