Hi @Teaher57,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you're encountering an issue with your HP printer after replacing the ink cartridges. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try.

  • Restart Printer: Turn off your printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for about 1-2 minutes, then plug it back in and turn it on. Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve software glitches.
  • Check Cartridge Installation: Ensure that the ink cartridges are properly installed. Open the printer cover and ensure that the cartridges are securely seated in their respective slots. Additionally, make sure that you removed any protective tapes or covers from the cartridges.
  • Check for Error Messages: Look for any error messages or warning lights on the printer's display panel or on your computer screen. Error messages can provide clues as to what might be causing the issue.
  • Update Printer Drivers: Outdated printer drivers can sometimes cause communication issues between the printer and the computer. Visit the HP website to download and install the latest drivers for your specific printer model.
  • Check Printer Connection: Make sure that your printer is properly connected to your computer. If you're using a USB connection, ensure that the cable is securely plugged in to both the printer and the computer. If you're using a wireless connection, make sure that the printer is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network and that there are no connectivity issues.
  • Clear Print Queue: There might be a stuck print job in the print queue preventing new print jobs from being processed. Go to the print queue on your computer and cancel any pending print jobs.
  • Reset Printer: Some printers have a reset function that can help resolve various issues. Check your printer's manual or the HP website for instructions on how to perform a reset.
  • Check Printer Settings: Ensure that the printer is set as the default printer on your computer and that there are no settings preventing it from printing (such as "offline" mode).

By following these steps, you should hopefully be able to resolve the issue and get your HP printer working again.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
