Hi @Nagman,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP OfficeJet Pro 9018 printer is producing color prints only in shades of pinks, reds, and purples, there could be several reasons for this issue. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can follow to identify and resolve the problem.\

  • Check Ink Levels: Ensure that all the ink cartridges in your printer have sufficient ink levels. You can check the ink levels through the printer software or on the printer's display panel.
  • Run Print Quality Diagnostic: Most printers have a print quality diagnostic tool that can help identify and fix issues. Look for this option in the printer's settings or on the control panel. Running a print quality diagnostic may reveal if there are any issues with the ink cartridges.
  • Clean Print Heads: Over time, print heads can become clogged with dried ink, leading to distorted colors. Check your printer manual for instructions on how to clean the print heads. Typically, this can be done through the printer software or on the printer itself.
  • Calibrate the Printer: Some printers have a calibration tool that helps ensure accurate color reproduction. Check your printer manual for instructions on how to calibrate the printer.
  • Check Color Settings: Verify that the color settings in the print dialog or printer software are set correctly. Ensure that you are not printing in a grayscale or monochrome mode.
  • Update Printer Drivers: Make sure you have the latest printer drivers installed. Outdated drivers can sometimes cause printing issues. Visit the HP website to download and install the latest drivers for your printer model.
  • Try Different Software/Application: Print a test page or document from a different application or software to see if the issue persists. This can help determine whether the problem is specific to one program.
  • Inspect the Color Cartridges: Examine the color cartridges for any signs of leakage or damage. If a cartridge is damaged or leaking, it may affect the color output. In such cases, replace the damaged cartridge with a new one.
  • Reset Printer Settings: You can try resetting the printer to its default settings. Refer to your printer manual for instructions on how to perform a factory reset.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
