Hi @gowokegobroke ,

If you're experiencing issues with a defective tri-color cartridge in your printer, here are steps you can take to address the problem:

Check for Packaging and Seals: Ensure that the protective tape or seals on the cartridge have been completely removed. Sometimes, forgetting to remove these can cause printing issues.

Clean Contacts: Turn off the printer and unplug it. Carefully remove the tri-color cartridge and check the contacts on both the cartridge and the printer. Clean them gently with a lint-free cloth to remove any dust or residue.

Reinstall Cartridge: After cleaning the contacts, reinstall the tri-color cartridge back into the printer. Make sure it is securely and properly seated in its place.

Update Printer Drivers: Ensure that your printer drivers are up to date. You can visit the printer manufacturer's website to download the latest drivers for your printer model.

Restart Printer: Turn off the printer, unplug it, and wait for a few minutes. Plug it back in and turn it on. This can sometimes clear temporary glitches.

Run Printer Software Diagnostics: Many printers come with diagnostic tools or software that can help identify and resolve issues. Check the printer software on your computer for any diagnostic options.

Replace Cartridge: If the issue persists, you may need to consider replacing the defective tri-color cartridge with a new one. Make sure to use a genuine and compatible cartridge for your printer model.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.-
