We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

If your HP DeskJet 4625 printer is displaying a "missing or failed printhead" error, you can try the following steps to resolve the issue:

Check Installation:

  • Turn off your printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Open the ink cartridge access door, and check if the printhead is properly installed.
  • Ensure that the printhead latch is securely closed.

Clean the Printhead Contacts:

  • Remove the printhead carefully.
  • Gently clean the electrical contacts on the printhead and inside the printer with a lint-free cloth. Avoid touching the nozzles.
  • Reinstall the printhead and ink cartridges.

Power Reset:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait for about 60 seconds before plugging it back in.
  • Turn on the printer and check if the issue persists.

Update Firmware:

  • Ensure that your printer's firmware is up to date. Visit the HP support website for your printer model to download the latest updates.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
