HP ENVY 6020e All-in-One Printer

As I only use the printer occasionally, i've cancelled my monthly subscription (i've been in for over a year & never needed any new cartridges). My printer is now "locked" & want to disable the cartridge protection but there are no options in the HP app in the "tools" or "printer" options - any ideas?

Hi @petrex

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand you're experiencing an issue with your HP device, and I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. I'm here to help you today.

I understand that this situation is frustrating, especially after having to cancel your Instant Ink subscription. Since the Instant Ink cartridges require an active account to function, you’ll need to purchase new cartridges from the store. I know this isn't the ideal solution, but unfortunately, those cartridges are designed to work only when registered with an Instant Ink account. If you have any further questions or need assistance finding compatible cartridges, please feel free to ask!

I hope this helps! Keep me posted.
