I have a printer deskjet 2700 series. The first page was printed in good quality, but the next pages are all hazy, unclear and bad quality

Hi @DrMohammad,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you're experiencing a decline in print quality after the first page, there are several potential causes and solutions you can explore. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can follow.

Check Toner or Ink Levels:

  • Ensure that the ink or toner levels are sufficient. Low levels may affect print quality.

Inspect the Cartridges:

  • Make sure the ink or toner cartridges are properly installed and not empty. If the cartridges are old or expired, replace them.

Clean Print Heads:

  • If your printer has a print head, you may need to clean it. Most printers have a utility for cleaning the print heads. Refer to your printer's manual for instructions on how to access and use this feature.

Check for Paper Jams:

  • Ensure there are no paper jams or obstructions in the paper path. Even a small piece of paper stuck in the printer can affect print quality.

Adjust Print Quality Settings:

  • Check your printer settings and make sure you are using the appropriate print quality settings. Sometimes, lower quality settings can lead to blurry or unclear prints.

Update Printer Drivers:

  • Make sure you have the latest drivers for your printer installed. Outdated drivers can sometimes cause printing issues.

Use High-Quality Paper:

  • Ensure you are using the right type and quality of paper for your printer. Low-quality or incompatible paper can affect print results.

Check for Software Issues:

  • Sometimes, issues can be related to the software or document you are trying to print. Try printing a different document or file to see if the problem persists.

Perform a Printer Self-Test:

  • Most printers have a self-test or diagnostic page that you can print. This page can help you identify if the issue is with the printer itself or with the computer/software.

Inspect Fuser and Imaging Drum:

  • If your printer has a fuser or imaging drum, check them for any signs of damage or wear. Replace them if necessary.

Consult Printer Manual:

  • Refer to your printer's manual for specific troubleshooting steps related to print quality issues.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
