HP 6962
macOS 12.0 Monterey

HP 6962 pink horizontal bands accross page where it is suppose to be Blue color.  Did every possible maintenance procedure more than once, and they print perfectly. I changed every color in printer one at a time, still no change.  Printer works perfectly fine except this pink band...see attached print..Pink Band Issue.png

It sounds like there could be a few possible reasons for this issue.

 

  • Printer Driver or Software Issue: Sometimes, printer drivers or software settings can cause color calibration issues. Ensure that you have the latest printer drivers installed and that your printer settings are configured correctly for color printing.
  • Color Management Settings: Check the color management settings in your printing preferences. Make sure they are set to default or adjusted correctly for the type of document you are printing.
  • Faulty Ink Cartridge: Even if you've replaced the cartridges, it's possible that one of them is still faulty or not dispensing ink properly. Try replacing the pink ink cartridge with a new one, even if it seems to be printing correctly during maintenance procedures.
  • Print Head Alignment: Run a print head alignment procedure. Sometimes, misaligned print heads can cause color discrepancies. Refer to your printer's manual for instructions on how to perform this task.
  • Hardware Issue: If none of the above steps resolve the issue, it's possible that there is a hardware problem with your printer, such as a malfunctioning print head or other internal component.
